Julia and Johnny Wedding, Prather, CA
Sunday, October 25, 2009
On the outside Julia is all girl but the truth is she is a total tomboy at heart. And Johnny is the type of guy who wears his heart on his sleeve. It's Julia who had to convince Johnny that he didn't need to buy a tent heater for camping, and she who has to bait their fishing poles...and it's Johnny who has to drag Julia shopping. Together they are amazing; a total blast to be around and up for absolutely anything which is a photographer's dream! I knew I wouldn't have to think twice about asking them to sit on some dusty rocks or trek up some hills which covered her parents beautiful property where they got married. The ceremony started a bit late so we ran out of sun and time to do all my crazy ideas I knew would suit their fun personalities ( I had been eyeing the trampoline and bright blue wheel-barrel!) but on the flip side we got to take some cool night shots.

I LOVE netted veils!!!

I love this shot of the bridemaids- Johnny's limo was coming down the hill and all the girls jumped in to cover up Julia.

Bethany and Alejo Engagement, Pasadena, CA
Thursday, October 8, 2009
Alejo and Bethany are the type of people that make you feel like old friends. They decided to have their session in downtown Pasadena which was an awesome backdrop for urban photos that fit their personalities perfectly. It is always extra rewarding to work with people who get as excited about their photo-shoot as I do. I can't wait for their wedding!

Flytrap Designs
Wednesday, September 23, 2009
Just wrapped a fun shoot for the lovely designer Jody, owner of Flytrap. I love her work but most of all I love her spirit:
"One day I will live in a small house in the country where I will collect eggs from my own chickens--they, in turn, will live in a handmade, highly ornamented coop decorated with my mother's bizarre, ceramic yard art. I will bake steamy, golden pies from my own blueberries. Sadie will run wild. And I will buy this house with the money I made selling lovely t-shirts I printed with my own two hands."

As if I need reminding, these two remind my why I love my job so much. We had way too much fun exploring Bubble Gum Alley, cruising around downtown, and trespassing through a gorgeous field....love you two!

Jen Headshots
Tuesday, July 7, 2009
After 4 days straight of relaxing with the family (eating way too much, hiking and biking...) I am back to blog land! Jen's back too! In addition to taking some pics of her and Tim she asked me to take some head shots for her. Jen is auditioning to be a Laker girl and I was more than happy to play a role in the process. I am saying a prayer and crossing my fingers for her! I think she is amazing!

Jen and Tim
Tuesday, June 30, 2009
Jen and Tim reminded me of something. If you're like most people, you probably had great wedding pics taken (or maybe not so great wedding pics...) and then don't think about getting professional pictures again until your first kid comes along. Well, what about all that time in between? If you're like me, you think life is pretty sweet right now. Seems like a pretty good time to document your life if you ask me! I know I make a point to have our photos taken at least once a year.
Jen and Tim obviously see eye to eye with me on this. They just celebrated their one year anniversary and wanted some updated pics. They also just bought their first house together and now they will have some pics of themselves to help turn their house into a home. That reminds me, I have been seeing so many awesome photo display ideas lately but I will wait until tomorrow to share those with you since I am rambling too much already!
