Sarah and Andrew Wedding, Laguna Beach

Sunday, September 27, 2009

Sarah and Andrew's wedding was extra special to me because I have been friends with Sarah since she and Andrew were just dating. It was so exciting to hear about her getting engaged and watch her get married! Sarah and Andrew got married at the Pacific Edge in Laguna Beach and Maria Lindsay did a fabulous job pulling everything together beautifully. My favorite touches to this wedding were Sarah's linen wedding dress (how fitting for a beach wedding!), her blue L.A.M.B. shoes, blue toenail polish, and doves in her ceremony! She also featured a late night snack of mini milkshakes and sliders which were quite fabulous. Her wedding was such a blast to be a part of!

Flytrap Designs

Just wrapped a fun shoot for the lovely designer Jody, owner of Flytrap. I love her work but most of all I love her spirit:

"One day I will live in a small house in the country where I will collect eggs from my own chickens--they, in turn, will live in a handmade, highly ornamented coop decorated with my mother's bizarre, ceramic yard art. I will bake steamy, golden pies from my own blueberries. Sadie will run wild. And I will buy this house with the money I made selling lovely t-shirts I printed with my own two hands."

Lisa from Ellembee is such a talented designer. I was thrilled to be able to photograph some of her most recent designs. Screen tees are the best!

Krystle

Wednesday, September 2, 2009

When Krystle's family moved in down the street from my family 15 years ago little did I know my life would change forever. I didn't know we would become the best friends whose bond can only be properly described as "sisters, just with different blood." I didn't know we'd drive across the country together for vacation, regularly makes ourselves sick from too much Ben and Jerry's and Kraft macaroni and cheese, learn to surf and wakeboard together, become college roommates, or stand next to each other on our wedding days. And I definitely would have never guessed I would be taking maternity pictures of my friend while she carries twins! Our lives have changed a lot, and we've probably changed more, but the "sisters with different blood" bond never changes.

Krystle just came out to visit and asked I would take some pics of her and the baby belly. I had been eyeing some private property in the area for awhile now and I knew Krystle would definitely be up for a little trespassing with me!
